Arup Scope: Cork Mobility Management Framework
A Noise Action Plan was developed by Arup Consulting Engineers on behalf of Cork City Council. The project involved examining the level of noise created by traffic on the national routes in Cork City during day and night.
The GIS scope involved illustrating the areas affected by the noise of traffic from national and non-national routes that have traffic volumes greater then 6 million vehicles per year within the City and County boundary. The areas considered were cemeteries, hospitals, schools, churches and residential zones. It also included the number of houses within the residential zones and separate noise bands.
Similar work was undertaken for Cork and Limerick County Councils.
