Arup Scope: GIS Consultancy Services to the HSE
Arup was commissioned by the Health Partnership in association with the HSE to use GIS in accessing site suitability for a new regional hospital in the North East of Ireland. Various towns were accessed for their strengths and weaknesses in relation to travel time and population catchments.
All current and proposed Transport linkages were examined using the GIS along with current populations and expected future populations for 2015 and 2025. Drive time catchments and Public Transport catchments were analysed and queried using the GIS.
During the course of the project, Arup provided GIS consultancy to the client through meetings with the relevant Local Authorities, government bodies and data distributors
