Building Energy Ratings
Arup has a team of trained assessors capable of carrying out Building Energy Rating assessments of domestic and non-domestic buildings.
For existing buildings we can complete the required assessments to obtain a BER certificate and advise on measures that could be adopted to improve a building's efficiency.
For new buildings we can advise from initial concept stages through to completion on the full range of energy efficiency measures that can be adopted to comply with all of the new Part L standards and can advise on predicted BER grades.
The EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) 2002/91/EC is now enshrined in Irish Law.
Launch dates have been defined for the introduction of Building Energy Rating (BER) Certification for both domestic and non-domestic buildings.
Since1st January 2009 a BER is required for all buildings. These certificates need to be available for any sale or lease transaction. Please click here for our brochure on BER services.
