Wexford Opera House Wins Another Award

Wexford Opera House, already the winner of RIBA and OPUS, has won a prestigious Royal Irish Architects Institute Award. The theatre was designed by Keith Williams Architects and the Office of Public Works.

 

Arup Consulting Engineers were appointed to provide acoustic and structural design for the Opera House, which is home to the world famous Wexford Opera Festival.

Facilities in the 7000m² theatre include a 750 seat state-of-the-art auditorium specifically designed for opera and a 150 seat smaller space used for music, drama, rehearsals and cinema. In addition, there is substantial front of house and backstage facilities.
